Luna Tierra Celebrates June LGBTQI Pride Month

On June 28, 1969, New York City police raided the now famous Stonewall bar, arresting and injuring many gay patrons.  The protests that followed are often seen as the inception of the gay rights movement in the US and internationally.  The civil rights for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, queer and intersex peoples have advanced in these past 50 years.  However, the current political environment is systematically degrading the rights of LGBTQI people in particular where health care access is concerned, especially regarding pregnancy and reproductive health disparities.

At Luna Tierra, our midwives provide pre-pregnancy, pregnancy and natural birth care in our center and at home that meets the specific needs of each person and each family.  During June and every month, Luna Tierra celebrates our LGBTQI families.
